The mid chassis is the black frame which primarily holds both the glass/digitizer and LCD. The iPhone 3GS Mid Chassis is frequently damaged when removing the Glass/Digitizer during a DIY repair. The mid chassis includes the proximity sensor, ear speaker, proximity sensor cover, adhesive, and home button assembly which come mounted on the frame.
