5 of 5 The right fix April 8, 2016

This item is used to fix a malfunction with the 5th gen(30 GB in my case) iPod headphone jack where sound only plays through one ear. I was skeptical that I could fix a $200+ dollar device by paying just $15 but this item actually got the job done(along with a $4 small magnetic tip Phillips head that I ordered from Amazon). I would also recommend watching a video on YouTube that gives step-by-step instructions on dis-assembly and installation.

I've only had my iPod working again for a couple days after replacing the part but if it lasts even a year I will consider it a solid investment. I will update this review if the part malfunctions sooner. As of now I am pleased with this purchase.

I received the headphone jack within one week of placing my order and with a simple instructional video on youtube was able to remove the old one and install the new one without any problems.
