This is a new high capacity replacement 6th/6.5/7th Generation 2000mAh iPod Classic battery.

Please note this super high capacity battery will only fit the iPod Classic with a slim profile (80GB/120GB/160GB 6th/6.5/7th generation). This battery is larger than the original one so if you want to use this battery please make sure you have a thick back cover which then needs a thick headphone jack and thick bottom bezel. All these parts are listed below:
- Thick Back Cover (available in 128GB, 160GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB)
- Thick Headphone Jack (available in White and Black)
- Thick Bottom Bezel (available in White and Black)

Since the iPod classic thick version (160GB 6th generation) uses a thicker hard drive, there isn't any room for this battery, so this high capacity battery won't work for those units. Though if you have a SSD or adapter (iFlash) that uses SD/microSD memory cards then this battery will work for the thicker version units.

** Users have reported that this battery will work with a thin back cover if an iFlash Quad is also used in conjunction with it.

Bought this battery as well as an OEM-sized battery for my 7th gen (thin back 160GB) that I was flash modding. I can confirm that this 2000 mAh battery fits in a THIN back with an iflash quad installed, and i did not need to use the original size, smaller battery. Be aware that the connecting cable is backwards however, and will require a fold in the battery cable to connect properly to the internal battery connection on the iPod board.

4/5 stars because it fits, but i haven't had the chance to test it long-term because I literally finished my mod today.
