This adapter allows you to convert your iPod Video (5th/5.5 gen) and iPod Classic (6th/6.5/7th Gen) from using a hard drive to using compact flash cards.

Used the adapter to replace a failed iPod hard drive with a compact flash card. Adapter and card nested in the spot previously occupied by the drive. Whole process took about 15 minutes, went from a 30 gig iPod Classic to a 32 gig iPod Classic CF. Besides the geek factor, the device runs longer and isn't susceptible to impact shock any longer.
