Can be installed in a 60 or 80 GB iPod Video with no other hardware changes. Does not include the rubber shock-absorbing bumpers and blue foam padding (these can be transfered from your existing drive).

Cannot be used in a 30 GB iPod Video without purchasing the the parts listed below due to the increased thickness of the larger hard drive (8mm vs. 5mm).

If you would like to upgrade your 30 GB iPod Video to hold a 80 GB hard drive you will then need the following:

iPod Video 80 GB Rear Panel Back Cover
iPod Video 60/80 GB Replacement Battery
iPod Video 60/80 GB Headphone Jack & Hold Switch
(logic board with the 64 MB ram chip)

Based on other reviews on the internet, I purchased this drive for use in an '08 MacBook Air. This drive is too thick for the '08 MacBook Air and the case wouldn't close. The drive did work, just not for me.
